Tano Corridor Modernism

Nestled among pinon and juniper trees in the northern Santa Fe foothills, this contemporary transitional residence interprets the best qualities of traditional Santa Fe style with the sharp edges of contemporary modernism. The NY owner/architect team was inspired by a “lighthouse” trapezoid shape that is found throughout the design and construction. The unique shape is evident in all angles and areas of the home, which is immediately evident at the entry,  presenting with a series of colored stucco walls that appear to have been carved to create open windows with sloped sills and door openings in unique shapes and sizes. Passing through the entry courtyard, a staggered geometric walk leads through a pivot door and into the great room with its 13-foot beamed ceiling.

A massive fireplace wall in contemporary Spanish tile is penetrated by floor-to-ceiling glass, offering dramatic Santa Fe east and west mountain range views. Not only is the home a masterful collection of spaces, but it houses a treasure trove of museum-quality furniture, lighting and accessories, all of the owner/architects’ personal design. Immediately adjacent to the home sits a 2-story state of the art custom studio/workshop in which creativity continues to abound.

2017 Haciendas Parade of Homes: Exceptional Collaboration between Builder & Client, Best Kitchen

As architects, we toured multiple Parade of Homes in Santa Fe before picking our builder. The Prull brand is solid. They never rest on their successes but are driven by the needs of each individual project and the ever-evolving developments of the industry. Will’s dedication to personal relationships and hands-on involvement is the signature on each Prull project. Will’s employees and subcontractors are talented, experienced and a pleasure to work with. An added bonus is that his wife Jodi is an executive partner in the office.

It is without saying that we would recommend this exceptional organization
